Changing Lives was set up in 2010 to raise funds for charities in Bristol and the South West.
In April 2017, Clevedon charity Re:Mission took ownership of Changing Lives, giving a more local focus. Changing Lives shops sell a wide range of donated and some bought in goods, mainly furniture, plus household goods including clothes, textiles, bric-a-brac, books etc. Our aim is to keep prices affordable whilst raising much needed funds for Re:Mission.
Changing Lives provides volunteering opportunities and work placements for people who are seeking work experience, particularly those struggling with issues such as mental health, drug and alcohol addiction and homelessness.
Re:Mission are a charity founded to help those in difficulty to find a future and a hope through the provision of training for employment, access to advice and support and accommodation for those recovering from addiction.
We raise funds through direct giving, working with local churches and community groups and by operating social enterprise businesses and owning property where appropriate.
