They sang here in 2005-2008 and their four concerts attracted 1,150 people. Now they are returning to Martock. Their a capella singing is in a 1000 year old tradition and fills the church with soaring harmonies that sound quite different to western choirs. Unmissable & uplifting. Tickets £8 on door, £7 by phone. /diocese/calendar/ /diocese/calendar/ webmaster@bathwells.anglican.org (Bath and Wells) Fri, 25 May 2012 12:00:00 AM BST New music wells: composers in conversation Part of 'new music wells 72-12'. join three of the UK's pre-eminent composes - Jonathan Dove, Gabriel Jackson and Howard Skempton - in conversation with Matthew Owens. The central idea is to look and think and 'take possession' Looking intensely (and the drawing is just a reason to look) allows one to 'hear'. It isn't a very religious day, but maybe you will find a quiet space where you become conscious of The Eternal. We hope you will enjoy a time in the presence of God. Wear comfortable old clothes and maybe a cushion to sit on, and if cool, warm clothes too. /diocese/calendar/ /diocese/calendar/ webmaster@bathwells.anglican.org (Bath and Wells) Sat, 26 May 2012 12:00:00 AM BST Lift Up Your Eyes A drawing day.
